Subunit - Society of Young Serbian Neurologist is a strong organization that operates within the Society of Serbian Neurologists and gathers young neurologists – specialist of neurology under the age of 40, volunteers at the neurology department, clinical residents, researchers and interns.
Society of Young Serbian Neurologists offers better informed membership, active participation in designing future activities, organization of meetings and educational activities according to the interests of the region with the help of experienced neurologists, experts of the Society, furthermore, various benefits in the acquisition of fixed assets for work, literature and better accessibility to a large number of trainings. Joint work of all young and future Serbian neurologists, exchange of knowledge, skills and experience leads to improvement of neurological practice and satisfaction of our patients.
The Society has constituted electronic magazine "Neurovesti", published monthly and printed magazine "Sinapsa", published twice a year as a double issue. NFurthermore, a fund for training "Dr Laza K. Lazarevic" was established, intended to DMNS (SYSN) members who wish to develop professionally and gain new experiences while working on the neurological departments of eminent medical centers in Europe.
On the other side, Society of Young Serbian Neurologists has also included among its priorities, education for young neurologists trough practical work in Serbia. Having in mind diversity in technical equipment and personnel potential of neurological institutions and departments in Serbia, and for the sake of balanced educational progress, the Society has established “Department to Department” program. This program, similar to equivalent programs of European Federation of Neurological Societies (Department to Department), gives an opportunity to young neurologists, who work at areas with lower resource standards than average in the Republic of Serbia, to gain experience by working in technologically more advanced centers.
